Meet Paige Moore, LMSW, LCSW, PMH-C

So nice to see you here.

You are welcome, you are seen, you are heard.

Paige Moore is the founder of Paige Moore Counseling, a mental health practice in both Illinois and Michigan that is committed to treating the whole person wherever they may be in their journey. At PMC, we strive to be human first and therapist second, focusing on the therapeutic relationship as a space of healing, growth, and understanding. Paige specializes in supporting individuals and couples through whatever may bring them to seek a therapeutic journey and has the expertise and knowledge to guide them along the way.

Her Approach

Paige’s  approach is a dynamic mix of modalities that she weaves together to fit whatever the client or couple’s needs are. She draws upon her understanding of psychodynamic work, mindfulness-based CBT, acceptance therapy and strengths-based approaches to create a unique treatment plan that focuses on the whole person or relationship.  She shows up as an authentic person during session and focuses on your needs and whatever you may bring to the therapeutic space. Paige tailors her sessions to be flexible, conversational, question-filled, and supportive, helping clients get to the root of their concerns.

Specialties & Interests

Paige specializes in working with individuals and couples who are facing changes in life, anxiety, grief, family dynamic concerns, relationship concerns, chronic illness, parenthood journeys, and perinatal concerns. She has deep passion for and understanding of how to best support individuals navigate these life concerns and how to best guide them towards achieving their goals. She sees individuals and couples who are new to therapy or are therapists themselves.

Paige focuses on providing high quality, individualized care to meet her client’s needs and works with a diverse range of clients from all different walks of life.

Education and Credentials

Paige holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University (2018). Before starting her Master’s program, Paige earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Michigan State University (2016). Paige’s background in both Social Work and Psychology provides a deeper understanding of the mental health field and she brings this expertise to the care of her clients as well as in other engagements.

Prior to entering private practice, Paige’s professional experience focused mainly on the medical field. She interned and volunteered for several years at a hospice home, supporting individuals and their loved ones navigate that difficult life chapter. She later became the lead oncology social worker at Beaumont Troy (now Corewell Health) in Michigan. With these experiences, Paige has a unique and human perspective on the diversity of life’s struggles and how to support individuals going through some of the toughest roads they may experience.

Paige is dually licensed in both Illinois and Michigan and has special certifications in Perinatal Mental Health Counseling through Postpartum Support International as well as being trained in both levels one and two in Gottman Couples Counseling. She is an avid learner and enjoys expanding her knowledge and understanding of mental health topics.

Her “Why” on becoming a Therapist

Paige’s journey into social work began with her natural inclination towards helping people, an attribute that she has practiced since an early age. Paige’s early experiences with her own anxiety, facing and conquering adversity, and witnessing the fragility of life inspired her to choose a career that felt fulfilling and meaningful in the human experience. Paige has witnessed firsthand how impactful a therapeutic relationship can be and the lasting impacts that support, and unconditional encouragement can have on a person. She believes that no one should have to face their challenges alone and that having support can make all the difference towards healing.

When Paige Isn’t Working

Paige loves to cook, try new recipes, and challenge herself in the kitchen. She can be found taking a long walk somewhere outdoors and enjoys spending that time talking with friends or a family member or just listening to a true crime or history podcast. She enjoys reading, old movies, and anything with a mystery in it. Paige is an avid traveler and enjoys her adventures around the world.
